Chronic Leukemia
This year, I’m especially thankful for the GRACE Cancer Foundation and its incredible growth in serving cancer patients of all ages and backgrounds. Over the years, GRACE has expanded to support patients in nearly every aspect of their cancer journey. We often take good health for granted, but when you or a loved one faces a diagnosis, you’ll be grateful for the GRACE team’s guidance.
I’m also deeply blessed with dreams I never thought possible. Reflecting on my diagnosis date and 12 years of battling chronic leukemia—lab draws, appointments, tears, and financial strain—I’m reminded of how GRACE gave my family hope in our darkest time. Without their support, I don’t know if I’d be here today, ready to advocate for every cancer patient in our area.
Today, I’m grateful to serve on the GRACE board, turning my journey into purpose. Cancer doesn’t discriminate, and neither does GRACE. They provided resources and support for me when I needed it most, and now they’ve given me the chance to help others. Supporting fellow patients has been equally healing for me, and for that, I’m forever thankful.
